“Where exactly do they get 10 buttons? I’m only seeing 6. 3 on top, two on the left and 1 on the right.”

Press the scroll wheel to either side they act as buttons.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The scroll wheel has a right/left click in addition to scrolling. So three button on the left side (3), left and right mouse buttons (2), scroll wheel up/down (2), and scroll wheel push/left/right (3) makes 10 total mappable buttons/actions.

I would think by 10 they mean three on the right: Side buttons and DPI clutch, 5 on top: 2 main buttons, scroll wheel button, and the two buttons before it that switch scrolling modes and DPI respectively. The final two is most likely the button "presses" when you tilt your scroll wheel left and right as that can be binded in some games I think.
