The keys will last a very long time. The only keys I see needing replacing after months of use would be the primary gaming keys such as "WASD": Razer also offers replacement keys.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two of these keyboards: one for my job as a system admin and the other as a developer, coder, gamer, and writer (blogger) at home. I've go through a Microsoft Series board (non-mechanical) about every 8-12 months depending on the amount of abuse. The letters on that kind of keyboard are printed on the keys and do where off from the friction of the finger tips as well as the oil on your hands. This keyboard has mechanical keys which are extremely touch and well made instead of a plastic diaphragm underneath (which is what really wears out and calls for a new keyboard replacement in my book...I already know where all the keys are :P ) Anyways, the keys labels are actually clear (see through) and are all back lit. After about 6 months of using this board, I'm not seeing any where in tear on the labels, and the mechanical tactile feel of the keys is still just as clicky as ever. Please note, I did not get the the cherry keys with this board though. I went for the metallic ones. Hope that helps.
