Does this mic pick up background noise? null

Yes it does but significantly less compared to lower end headsets. Usually even high tier headsets always have background noise as the mic quality on a headset can only be so good.

It's pretty good in what is used for. But be aware that the fabric and the ear cushions will get damaged over a few months upon usage, and they dont honor the warranty. They dont have the spare parts for this model anymore just the kraken version 2. Stay away from razer.
