No, you can only move the mic to the side or to the back but you cannot retract or remove it.

It does not retract, but it's small and unobtrusive and can flex out of the way when needed.

By retractable I assume you are referring to whether or not the mic can be manipulated and configured to the area of choice. If that is the case, yes. This mic is fully bendable, therefore you can mold and keep the mic in the position you desire (ie close to the headphones when not in use or closer to your mouth when operating). I hope this helps.
