The razer viper 8khz and razer viper mini are different in shape because the razer viper mini is, like said, mini. not only the mouse being bigger but it had a little more weight but it doesn't affect much. in the case of fortnite, you can't use the full 8khz potential this mouse had because of the fact that that setting is too new. But there are still steps to the mouse because it goes from 8000 to 125 (8000, 4000, 2000, 1000, 500, 125), there are settings in between that could make the game work right, the difference is light but satisfaying, it is very snappy and responsive, i am sure it will be ok for Fortnite.
