Hi, the RCS03WB can often be programmed to DirecTV receivers using the DirecTV codes, so it will likely handle basic functions like power, channel, and volume when you have line-of-sight to the DirecTV box. Since DirecTV can also use RF for “aim-anywhere” control, you may need to switch the receiver/remote to IR mode for a standard universal remote to work. Please try the DirecTV codes listed one by one and keep the code that gives you the most functionality. Not all buttons/features can be guaranteed with any universal remote control.
