“Bought a refurbished DSC-WX80/WHT. Came w/ an NP-BN battery but cannot charge. The cord provided does not fit the camera's cable-port. So, will an NP-BN1 battery work for this camera? Also, can I use a charger manufactured for the NP-BN1 to charge my NP-BN battery. Thanks.”

We have had mixed successes - once in a while, the "charged" battery does not activate our camera. Once, when it was charged, a battery did not last more than one day (with little use). We had no success with non-Sony chargers and, now, mixed success with Sony batteries. I think either the recharger does not work properly with some batteries or the batteries themselves cannot be charged successfully. We have the original camera but now cannot use it much if at all because of the batteries and charger.
