Q: QuestionSony Battery NP-BN vs. NP-BN1 for Cyber-shot DSC-TX55DSC-TX55 camera manual recommends use of NP-BN battery, not the NP-BN1 model. Model NP-BN1 shows up in 'What's in the Box' for camera. Browsing the web has not helped. Question: What is the difference between NP-BN and NP-BN1 especially with respect to capacity (maH) and physical dimension?

Q: QuestionNP-BN and NP-BN1 batteries interchangeable?I have the same problem as the previous question. My older Sony Cybershot (16.1 megapixel, 5x zoom) (no other info on camera) needs a new battery. It came with NP-BN. I can only find NP-BN1. Will these work? Also, if my daughter wants to use my NP-BN battery in her newer Cybershot that came with a NP-BN1, will it work?

• A:Answer Generally speaking, if your camera was supplied with an NP-BN battery, the NP-BN1 should be able to work with your camera. However your daughter's camera which came with NP-BN1 won't work with NP-BN, as its not backward compatible. It would be best as well if we have the model of both cameras to check which battery models are compatible.

Q: QuestionI'm sure the sony NP-BN and NP-BN1 batteries are interchangeable (both work) in my sony cybershot dsc-w710. Would an NB-BK or NB-BK1 work just as well? Looking for batteries that hold longer power to avoid the constant charging both after one day use.
