I do not notice any detectable smell with the human nose. I use them on our deck where there is no risk of bears. I cannot advise whether a bear would be able to smell it or would be attracted to it or not.

In the beginning of our products our first target consumer was the hunter and outdoorsman. Hunters use our product because it will not spoke game. Our products use a repellent that is a copy of Chrysanthemum flower smell, and it is a smell that animals are used to. We have not heard that our products attract animal to the repellent.
