If it's for sound proofing issues, you still only need one base unit, you can place a second keypad instead. They are also alarm units, and will siren just as the base unit does. I can't think of a reason to use two base units, other than two different homes, like a duplex. Just add keypad units, and if necessary, signal extenders, and you should be covered.
