YES I have had power outage and the camera was back on line when the power came back on

No, the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) will only function and operate when it has a stable power source and wifi connection. Without power or a wifi connection, the device will report as offline and will be unable to record and store video. Since our devices are wifi-enabled devices, they need this as a requirement to function in full. The Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) requires an 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection at 2.4 GHz and a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps for optimal performance.
