The only way to shut off the camera from “live view” is to physically remove the plug from the electrical outlet. From the app you can stop motion recording but the camera is still on and anyone with access can view the camera footage over the internet. Also, there is no way to schedule the camera to turn on or off during certain time or to start/stop motion recording at certain time.

You can not switch it off remotely. It always records motion events. You would need to plug it into a smart switch and then turn the switch off. Meaning cut the power to it.
