Absolutely! Just disconnect the usb/the power cord and that's it. I connect it only when we're gone, then unplug the usb or the powe cord when we're home. Simple as that. =)

yes you can manually select the camera to record motion. When it is not in the "record motion" setting it will simply sit there.

You can turn off motion which will stop recording, but will need to turn it on once leaving your home.

Yes, it's very easy as it has a record motion on and off switch on the ring app. from the first screen after selecting which camera you wish to view. I own this stick up cam along with the ring pro doorbell and two flood lights and the security system.
