• Absolutely! Just disconnect the usb/the power cord and that's it. I connect it only when we're gone, then unplug the usb or the powe cord when we're home. Simple as that. =)

• yes you can manually select the camera to record motion. When it is not in the "record motion" setting it will simply sit there.

• You can turn off motion which will stop recording, but will need to turn it on once leaving your home.

• Yes, it's very easy as it has a record motion on and off switch on the ring app. from the first screen after selecting which camera you wish to view. I own this stick up cam along with the ring pro doorbell and two flood lights and the security system.
