• I haven't checked the specs on it. My guess would be you'll need a step down transformer in order to hard wire it. I believe my existing doorbell had a 120 volt to 24 volt transformer and I just swapped out doorbells with out any problems.

• It all depends on your doorbell voltage, from what I read you can go to about 24vac but maybe I read the wrong manual. I would double check to see what step down transformed is installed
