I am unsure why it was already redeemed, but the same happened to me. When I compared the item # on my receipt to what number was listed on the back of the actual card, it didn’t match. Not knowing what to expect, I returned to the store with the card and receipt. Without hesitation the manager refunded my money because there were no more cards of the same value in the store to exchange. I’m assuming this has happened before because he sprung into action right away.
