• Kinda of but u should get a replacement because it will be loose and eventually ur speaker wire will come right out of the plug

• Not likely, the collars keep thr speaker wire in contact with the body of the plug. Without it, the speaker wire comes undone and doesnt hold good contact. One could try a wrap or two of duct tape around the speaker wire to pull the speaker wire into the body of the plug to keep contact.
