I am doing exactly that. I have a new Malibal Gaming laptop that I also use for work, and it only has HDMI output. The monitors at the site I am working at only have DVI cables coming out or VGA so I got this converter and plugged it into the end of the DVI cable and plugged the adapter directly into the HDMI port of my laptop. Works perfect. I wrote this answer using this setup ;)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does work!! Beautifully, I might add! A guy from Best Buy chat, Ty, said it would and I believed him.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it will, assuming you will use an existing DVI-D cable from this adapter to the monitor. The HDMI end should plug into the laptop, but beware of any physical obstructions that will preclude plugging it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it should. I plug it into the HDMI port of my laptop. Then I can connect my DVI monitor to the DVI end of this adapter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It worked for me. I have HDMI output on my computer and so I used this to hookup a DVI monitor to extend my desktop to a second screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have hdmi out. this basically makes the dvi out port on any graphics card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this adapter will not work for your needs. This adapter is for DVI output to an HDMI input.
