I have no issues with video & audio quality, the quality is great. The only issue is the size of the adapter body. You can not put another HDMI or USB on its side, it does not fit. That’s why I gave 4 stars.

Needed an adapter for an old monitor. The HDMI end doesn’t leave a whole lot of room on the sides, so if your ports are tight, you may find that this adapter blocks them a bit. That said, this adapter worked great on my Asus laptop - now I’m primed and ready to work from home!

So it does exactly what it is supposed to. Make sure you know what you are looking for. This adapter works for when you have a monitor with a male DVI out that you want to convert to a male HMDI out. The triangular shape of the adapter will likely block any adjacent USB ports, so if that is important, you will need to buy an HDMI extender cable (female input to male output.) For this reason, I have deducted a star, as the only reason for the shape of this adapter is sytlistic.

The reason I purchased this item was because I had an older Dell computer that did not have HDMI ports and I wanted to connect it to an older Sony flat-screen through the HDMI ports of the TV. After getting the item I could not find the AVI cable to run from the computer to the TV and had to return the adapter. I purchased a DVI cable with a HDMI on one end and made the desired connection. The joke was really on me as I later found the DVI cable I had used to connect the computer to a regular monitor so I could have used this adapter (which cost less than the cable) rather than getting the DVI cable. Oh well...live and learn.

Great solution for our dual monitor connection issue we came across on my sons PC. Worked as as expected, however make sure you have enough clearance to plug the adapter into a monitor, if that's your use for it. We didn't have enough space to plug it in due to the monitors back design. Luckily I had a spare hdmi angle adjustable adapter so we could plug that into the monitor and position it so we could plug the adapter to that. So long story short, great product and good price.

While DVI is going the way of the dodo, which I'm glad this handy little device helps fill the gap when it comes to some dated technologies that can be extended for a few more years. This adapter comes in handy with a nice display that only supports DVI and VGA. This adapter helps a lot with bringing it inline with HDMI devices and works seamlessly for video only (no sound) transference to HDMI. The only drawback is the length of the product but that aside it works nicely.

So, I ended up ordering a male to male 6ft, instead of using my old monitor DVI + this adapter. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this works, and is made very well. This thing will last you forever. It's a female DVI to male HDMI. So if you had an older monitor or whatever that had a DVI cord but only an HDMI input, get this adapter. Nothing else needed, that easy.

I recently obtained a second HDMI monitor for my computer. Since my video card has only one HDMI connector I had to change a DVI-D to HDMI. I shopped around several local stores and was amazed that every one except Best Buy said they would have to order the connector.. Went to Best Buy and bought it off the shelf for a better price than any other stores would offer. Very pleased and my new monitor was up and running in a very short time.

Best Buy only place in town for this piece. Just bought a 3D Video Card and found out the HDMI was the Primary Source for 3D. This required adapting the HDMI on Monitor to DVI-I Cable to the Video Card. This adapter worked great.......had to bend it about 10 Degrees to get the cable attached. I was nervous, but it worked. Plugged into a newer Dell Monitor. Might check the clearance (this is NOT easy to do. The 3D High Def worked great. and set to max resolution 1920 X 1080.

I got a nice HDMI monitor (AOC I2279VWHE) which had only HDMI and VGA connectors from Best Buy at a great price, but my PC has only DVI connectors. The Rocketfish DVI-to-HDMI adapter solved the problem inexpensively, so at a very affordable price I was successfully able to add a new HDMI monitor to my system. Without the adapter, the monitor doesn't work.with my PC, so the adapter is in fact indispensable in this instance.

I wasn't expecting to find the adapter on or at best buy because it is not a big ticket item. I was pleasantly surprised to see it available. My purchase was a simple plug n play. My monitor and laptop recognized the adapter immediately and I was able to continue work without any issues. I would purchase again! Solid sturdy build and would likely stand up to years of use.

I was looking for a way to add a second monitor to my AIO computer. My computer has a HDMI out port on the back and I had an extra DVI monitor. So I connected this adapter to the HDMI port on my computer and then connected my monitor to the DVI port on the adapter. My computer automatically recognized the second monitor and extended my desktop just as I wanted. I now have a 2 monitor setup.

I recently purchased a new desktop computer at Best Buy, and wanted to initially try using my old monitor. This adapter was recommended to correct the cable mismatch. This adapter is well-built, but it turned out that I actually needed the reverse of this adapter for the connection. I returned this adapter to Best Buy for a hassle-free return.

After getting a new monitor I had trouble finding an adapter to connect a cable with a dvi end to the monitor. This adapter was exactly what I needed and it was on sale. The delivery was fast and solved my problem.

Work from home provided an old monitor with DVI-D plug. Local store trying to help us eventually found this adapter. Absolutely works, but is so big it covered up 1 of the 2 USB ports on the laptop, so had to buy a USB hub as well.

I have always been a little leery about using adapters for video monitors. This adapter far exceeded my expectations in quality, technology and price. Yes, you can find really cheap adapters from other sources but this adapter delivers a quality display when using it with older PC's.

Provides seamless DVI to HDMI interface changer. Plug in the DVI maie side to it and it just works. My only qualm with the adapter is the size which compared to other products is somewhat bulkey, otherwise its good to have on hand. Bear in mind it's video only does not provide sound as DVI is video only.

Did the job and was very impressed with the quality of the adapter. Used it on a Macbook Pro laptop to use an HP monitor that was only DVI and VGA inputs. DVI was the way to go and coming from the MacBook Pro, I can only use HDMI - this adapter worked great!
