No, you need a female HDMI and a female DVI
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, however it will be a male connect. So you would plug it into the device. For example, my laptop is hdmi out. I plug this in and I can use my dvi cable to my monitor. Otherwise you would wanna buy a hdmi female to female as well to plug an hdmi cable into it. The hdmi to dvi version (the male dvi to female hdmi) won't work without a dual female dvi adaptor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why this wouldn't work. Only thing is that I don't think it would transfer the audio since HDMI to DVI is a downgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can...BUT, you will not have all the control features you have in a standard HDMI connection. If all you need is to pass VIDEO (NO AUDIO or CONTROL) you are good to go. If you need/ want the AUDIO as well, I would cut the head of the DVI cable and use it as a pull string to pull an HDMI cable through the wall.
