• I have a Monster Cable adapter that is DVI to HDMI and it works fine. Honestly there is no reason for your adapter to fail....ever! Try looking for another reason it is not the adapter. It probably is a problem with one of the two components that are attached. Good luck!

• I would check your settings for the video it may be running at a resolution your monitor doesn't support.
