It can definitely handle a 55” TV. It’s a quality wall mount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but I would run the 2x4’s horizontally so the horizontal brackets of the mount have something to rest the weight of the tv onto. Lag bolts would probably be best
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will handle a 55” with no problem. I mounted mine to the wall studs directly. Using a stud finder I found the center in the 2 studs and predrilled them before using the given screws. Otherwise you can use 2-2X4s and center your mount. Good luck.
