• the mount is designed for 16 inch on center studs. The studs in my short wall would not line up with the mounts. I took 2 each 1/4 inch thick by 1 inch wide 24 inches long metal strips mounted those to the studs using a nut as a standoff and bolted the mount to that. Works great if you do not have studs that line up
