“Can this mount on a single wall with no studs? Live in Hawaii and our home is a single wall setup (same wall panel on each side). I'd think i would need to support this on the backside with another bracket maybe?”

No, do not install this mount on a single wall. This Wall Mount must be installed on wood studs.
