Shouldn't be a problem. Comes with adapters to make sure it fits your TV and the instructions are pretty clearly written. When you snap the TV into place, it sits snuggly. You may want to "adapt" the release hooks with a string or cord so you can pull both at once, but other than that, it does the job and will keep your TV close enough to the wall so you don't "know" there is a mount behind it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That particular Rocketfish tilting mount is intended for TVs between 26 inches and 40 inches, so you may want to go with a different mount if your LG TV is 42 inches. We do currently carry a Rocketfish and a Sanus tilting mount that support a TV 32 inches up to 70 inches, which should be compatible with your TV. I hope that helps!
