There are two catches on the lower side of the two mounting brackets. You will have to pull them both downward at the same time. They may be hard to reach depending on the size TV that you have. I would recommend trying two bent coathangers (with a hook formed on the end) to try to pull them downward. Then rotate the TV outward a little. Have help to then lift the TV upward and outward. I also recommend that before you put the mount back up on the wall, that you get two 18" to 24" black cable ties and use them to lengthen the catch release mechanism. Cut them off so they don't hang down beyond the TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a small locking lever (2) on each side of the cleats that connect the TV to the wall portion of the mount. I might suggest 2 people and a small flash light to see the release levers more easily. One person on each side to press a release lever, then simply lift the TV 2 inches off the cleats. If you still have trouble look it up on the web site; it has a picture of the unit to define the exact location of the levers. If that is not helpful you might go to a BEST BUY STORE and look on the back of the box. There is a photo of the unit on it. Hope this helps you. Johnny
