"These TVs are Roku's first foray into TV manufacturing. Previously, Roku had been content to work closely with its partners to bring Roku-branded TVs to the market. Those TVs from TCL, Hisense, Sharp and others offer a range of sizes and picture enhancements. According to Roku, those partnerships are not going away.

I have owned several TCL Roku TVs in the past, and have had one of these Roku-branded TVs from Best Buy for almost a year. The Roku-branded one is a little snappier - more instantly responsive to remote commands, connects to WiFi faster when first powered on, returns search results faster in universal search, and is less prone to briefly dropping WiFi signal. Other than that I don't really notice or am not aware of any differences between this one and any other TV with Roku OS.
The TCL TVs were always a little sluggish from day one, but the issue got much, much worse as they got older, so time will tell if the Roku-branded one can stay snappy past year 2 or 3 or if it'll get sluggish too.
