I'm not familiar with Suddenlink at all, but in general, all you need is an internet connection for the Streaming Stick to work, because your wireless router is what sends Roku . to your TV. If you have no wireless router, or are giving up your existing wireless router as part of dropping your cable service, you really ought to verify with Suddenlink that you will have a new wireless router that feeds the internet signal to your computer or TV -- and not just a coax cable.
