I believe you can access only what you can via your computer on the AMC channel

I don't think you can view current seasons. But old seasons are available.

If you have a subscription to one of the systems that are accessible through the Roku, yes. Spectrum has such. I don't know about Direct TV. With Spectrum you can access all of your subscription channels but I believe you have to be connected to their router - not directly but at least as a gateway to your home. So it doesn't help watching "Walking Dead" while traveling but it helps watching it on a room you don't have a cable connection.
