• Not to my knowledge you can't. I only have the Roku 3, the more expensive one might be able to. I haven't checked it out.

• Yes they sell Dvrs that can record both. One quick search and you can find it

• My answer to wanting to record is that all of the material available through the apps is there always, And no you can't record from roku.

• There is a TiVo box for about $300 that streams and gives you DVR capabilities.

• You can't record from the roku, and you shouldn't need to, it allows you to view ON-DEMAND content, meaning the content from each service provider will be available as long as the service provider is hosting it which is usually a long time.
