• Roku is independent of your cable provider. you just need to have a T. V. ith H. D. M. I. port or buy a adapter for old T. V.s

• yes i have direct tv it was easy to set up and never had any problems

• It doesn't need to be compatible, you just need an open HDMI port on the back of your TV to connect it. You then change the TV input setting to whichever HDMI slot you used, for example HDMI 1, HDMI 2. Hope this helps. By the way we have Directv also.

• One has nothing to do with the other.... Why would a smart tv device have anything to do with who you use as your cable or satellite provider? You just need WiFi... A good analogy is..... .. IS MY NEW CAR COMPATABLE TO ALL ROADS AND PARKING LOTS?
