You plug it in to an hdmi port you don't need a USB port

The PS4 only has HDMI out so the Roku won't work that way. It's only important that your TV has HDMI inputs. It's fine if your TV doesn't have a USB port. The Roku stick, and I have to guess other Roku devices, come with a USB power adapter so it can be plugged into a wall outlet.

The Roku Stick 2016 plugs into the TV HDMI port, the USB port may be used to power the stick or it can be plugged into an electric outlet with the provided AC/USB adapter (like a cellphone charger).
