• Thousands... But most are by monthly subscription. You need to determine what channels you need or want and then research the many streaming channel options to find what you are wanting.

• It depends on if a channel is develop for the type of program you enjoy watching. Check out the https://channelstore.roku.com/browse it give a list of channel However, You might need cable authentication to access most channels or if you have a friend that will let you use there cable authentication to get access or You can get Playstation Vue to use the authentication to watch the other channels
