The USB goes into the power supply for the Roku. If you have wireless wifi you are set. Cable has nothing to do with the roku. Also if you have a smart phone you can install the ROKU App. and your cell phone replaces the ROKU Remote. It's Cool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It uses WiFi in an hdmi port. No cable cord needed.

It requires a very strong Wifi signal, and does not have an Ethernet port. There are some cable TV apps available -- I can tell you it works well with Time Warner/Spectrum app. You do need to have a cable subscription for Spectrum app to access cable channels without a cable box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roku stick is used in addition to Cable channels not instead of cable. There are channels you can set up on Roku that will replace cable channels like CBS and HBO but these will require a monthly payment to CBS or HBO to watch using your WiFi connection. There are a number of free channels like YouTube and Pandora and entire free networks like Pluto for free. You must have a good WiFi to use Roku.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Should just plug into the hdmi port and use the usb as it’s power if your tv comes with a USB port. If not there is an adapter that comes with it to plug into the wall. Then select the the source button for the hdmi signal. Then connect to WiFi in your house. Hope that helps
