A:AnswerThis is hard to believe. I had a 12 year old Maytag that died, and got this as replacement. This Samsung has less wattage, so takes longer to heat things up. And you can’t even use the timer in conjunction with using the microwave. Again, my 12 year old Maytag did that. Seems like Samsung is turning the clock back here. Everyone in the house has tried it, and couldn’t do. We were certain there was a way. Nope. Ridiculous
A:AnswerThe timer and microwave do not work together. You can only use one function at a time. My previous 15 year old microwave would do both at the same time, seems very odd that a brand new one wouldn't have this functionality.
A:AnswerNo, do not remove either of the inserts. The cardboard looking material is called Mica and both inserts should be left inside the microwave. The rectangular one on the right is the Wave Guide Cover. The circular one on the top is the Stirrer Cover.
A:AnswerThis microwave is designed to install under a standard 12" depth cabinet. The mounting holes are about 10" from the back of the cabinet. If you have face frame cabinets ( not a smooth bottom) you will need a spacer to fit between the cabinet bottom and the top of the microwave at the mounting screw location. A stack of washers would work or a small block of wood.
A:AnswerYes you press the option button until the display says OP- 3 and then press 1 for beep on or 2 to turn the beep off. It will then prompt you to press start to confirm your settings changes.
A:AnswerYes, you can install the ME18H704SFS so it vents externally through the top or rear of the unit, or it can recirculate filtered air back into the room through the hidden vent.

A:AnswerDid you remove the back panel and rotate the fan motor before installing? I almost missed that direction in the installation instructions. My fan works wonderfully.
A:AnswerHi there,
The hood exhaust for this microwave is a standard 3 ¼˝ x 10˝ rectangular duct.
If a round duct is required, a rectangular-to-round transition adaptor must be used and it's not recommended to use less than a 6˝ diameter duct.

A:AnswerI'm sorry to hear you were unaware that the Over The Range Microwaves are designed to mount under the cabinet above the Range. I can't tell you why you weren't told this.
We appreciate your consideration and hope you're able to find a suitable solution.
Thank you,
Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerI don't believe there wasn't a delivery charge, but I believe that the installation charge is $125. We carried ours home ourselves and installed it ourselves and would recommend spending the extra for installation if it is feasible, since it can be a tricky job (that most definitely requires at least 2 people to do).
A:AnswerThe ME18H704SFW can be set up to recirculate filtered air back into the room from vents located in the front that are concealed from view, as opposed to venting externally through the back or top, which are also options.

Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerIf you mean the duct work to vent your unit to the outside I'd try a home improvement store. It has a blower and you position it so you can blow air out the front or up into the vent.
A:AnswerThe ME18H704SFS and other Samsung Over the Range Microwaves come ready to vent internally, or can be set up to vent outside through the top or rear of the unit with the addition of the vent duct parts which are sold separately. Please refer to the installation instructions that can be downloaded from Samsung's website for details on what parts you may need for your home.
Thank you,

A:AnswerG8 is the size bulb you need. I found some LED replacement bulbs online that work well...brighter, use less electricity and don’t put off any heat
A:AnswerThanks for your interest in the ME18H704SFS. This and other Samsung over the range microwaves are designed to be mounted under cabinets that are at least 30" above the cook top, which leaves about 13" between the bottom of this unit and the cooking surface.
