“The Set Timer function in the manual indicates how to set the light to come on and go off automatically but it doesn't indicate how to turn it off.”

Hi Eric! At the bottom of the control panel, above the Vent control buttons and next to the Set Timer button is the Hi/Lo/Off button for the light. Tapping this button will cycle through the three available settings for the light which are Hi, Lo, and Off. ^Jecca
