• Hi Grace, Thanks for the question. The ME18H704SFS uses a 40-watt incandescent bulb to illuminate the interior of the Microwave. Instructions for replacing the bulb, if necessary, can be found on page 22 of the User Manual. - Ms. Samsung

• Due to the interior of this microwave being black, the inside light appears dim. Seems dim to me only because my old microwave had a white interior & gave the illusion of being much brighter inside.

• Check the wattage limit of the bulb and in the owner's manual.you may be able to put a higher wattage bulb in.if not,buy an led bulbof equal comparable wattage.

• I think the light has multiple intensity settings.
