• Hi Eddie, it is best to connect through HDMI, then Optical, then Bluetooth if no wired sources are available. Google Assistant is not available in this sound bar. ^Scott

• It works just fine via the optical cable, I've never tried the Bluetooth. Also not sure about the Google Smart Home, but it's a great unit, so it probably does. Good Luck.

• Best to connect sound bar to TV via HDMI ARC. If your TV does not have this type of connection then Optical Cable is normally preferred.
