Can I just install the mounting bracket so many inches down from the bottom of the cupboard? I contacted Samsung. they wanted me to mail a copy of my receipt and all kinds of stuff and wait 14 days. really, for a $ .02 sheet of paper?”

yes, you can mount it but it should align with the bottom of your cabinets..it needs to be so many inches above the stove for safety reasons...make sure you use the mounting bracket/hardware and also screw it into the bottom of your cabinet for stability. you can get a free manual on line and probably a template as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was fella in a microwave so just left the mount. In the manual it says 16 3/4"s from the top of microwave. Put a level in the microwave and get a friend to help. I sat mine on a storage box while I worked. Good Luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you measure carefully, I think the rear mounting bracket would be fine. The trick will be drilling thru the top of the cabinet. I would mount the rear bracket, and make sure it fits well and is LEVEL. Youi don't want things rollong around on you as the turntable spins. Then install the screws on the top, and put a dab of paint on the screw heads. Lift it into the rear bracket, and raise it up until the screw heads touch the underside of the cabinet. VIOLA! now you know where to drill your holes!
