• Yes, the ME21H706MQG can be installed to vent externally through the top or back of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated into the room through the hidden vent in front. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

• Yes. We installed it with an existing vent that went out the side of our home.

• Yes, that is how I have it installed. Top middle of rear of unit. Seems to be the standard cutout.
