opening is situated at the top of the microwave, it's in rectangular shape, approximative measurements are 10" x 3.4" (check with the manufacturer for exact dimensions). I my case it fitted perfectly on the previous ductwork, which was created more than 30 years ago (?!?) Very important, you have to have an electrical outlet situated near the top of the microwave, the cord is short.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don't need to run ductwork, all you have to do is unscrew 2 screws for the blower cover. One is on top and 2nd is on back, then pull up and rotate the blower assembly 90 degrees. The air will circulate. The wires are long , will be no problem. Read instructions for that.
