- Answer Hello! Our ice makers are designed to stop when they're full. There's two methods for this, depending on which type of ice maker your model has. Either an optical sensor detects when ice has piled too high, or a mechanical arm is pushed upwards when the ice piles high enough. Thank you for being a Samsung customer! ^Lena

- Answer Ours open with not much effort. It has that automatic stop on the door it will stop before it closes by hand.. Gasket seems good so far.. I'm watching it

QuestionI just bought a Samsung RF220NCTASG/AA fridge and the ice maker is working , just not producing enough ice. Samsung came out and replace the ice maker and it is still not making enough. Only cycles 3 or 4 times a day. Temp it set a 2 degrees above 0.

- Answer For the bottom freezer drawer you don’t need additional clearance however you need about an inch for the top French doors to open enough to access the entire shelf

- Answer I would say the ice bin holds about 16-20 cups of ice (filled a 8 cup measuring cup once & pulled out about half the ice). I think it took a little over a day to fill the ice bin. Access to the Ice is easy, open the drawer/freezer & the top shelf with the ice pulls out at the same time. I did buy a small scoop for the ice for filling glasses.
