Yes! The ice maker has been redesigned and the issues have been resolved on the 2019 models.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, they have not. Our refrigerator is not even two years old and from day one the ice kept jamming up to where you could not pull the ice tray out. It constantly frosts over which causes the ice jam. Ours has been replaced and now that the warranty expired, Samsung will not repair/replace free of charge. Tried talking to customer support but it is basically "too bad, too sad". They don't give a rats pituty about you once the warranty is up. I would never, ever recommend a Samsung product to anyone nor will I ever buy another one of their products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely not. The tech who came to service ours says the design is better but the QC in the factory is non-existent. So you may get lucky, or you will be on the phone with Samsung tech support. It's a roll of the dice at this point.

CANT EVEN SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIR- WILL EMAIL ME WHEN SOMETHING IS AVAILABLE. SAMSUNG SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING FOR THOSE OF US WHO BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF *&^%
