I pulled my receipts plus the box that this charger came in, which was sealed and no damaged boxed. I paid $15.99 as well (great price) and the box has the 'SAMSUNG' name right on it as well as where it's made... won't say place... as Samsung products are usually made in this country. I bought 2 of these chargers and they are in excellent shape and work very well so I don't think they are refurbished or fake... yet not 100% sure. With this said, I hope this helps.
