“I want to use this monitor because my MacBook Pro is having a problem with its display. This may be a dumb question, but how would I connect a keyboard and mouse to this monitor? I noticed there was no USB on this monitor. Please help!”

There are USB ports on it, but you actually need to plug in your keyboard and mouse to your laptop and then connect the laptop to the monitor (unless you have a PC setup). The monitor is just that, a monitor. By itself it doesn't have anything that can read the keyboard is plugged in to it. Similarly you can buy a docking station to plug everything together monitor, keyboard, mouse, and laptop so that you're not constantly having to unplug things from your laptop.
