Unfortunately, you can't get sound through this monitor because it has no speaker attached to it. I, like you, had taken for granted the fact that my last monitor had built in speakers. You could go out and buy fancy speakers for your computer, or you could do what I did in the short term. I just hooked up my bluetooth speakers which I placed directly on the round monitor stand, Works perfectly, no expensive speakers to install, calibrate etc.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too was hoping this monitor had speakers, but all I can find is a jack for headphones on the back of the unit. This tells me you would need to plug speakers into that jack to get sound from the monitor.
