Not sure but it sure as heck doesn’t work with the Samsung app as advertised.

However, it DOES work with the Samsung SmartThings app on iPhone and Android. There is a lot of press out there saying that the app doesn't work or that users cannot get their appliances to connect to the app. What you will not find mentioned often if at all is how to make it connect to the app. This is actually quite simple to do. Samsung does not state anywhere in their documentation that the Wi-Fi password for your home internet wireless router must be NO MORE THAN 8 CHARACTERS LONG. If your router password is longer than 8 characters, the app will not authenticate and upload properly to the SmartThings cloud. It will get to about 98% and hang up. I have three Samsung Wi-Fi capable appliances - this washer and dryer and a gas range. All three connected flawlessly to my Wi-Fi network after I changed my password to 8 characters maximum. If you are having the same problem connecting that I did, then this is your fix. Try it before giving up on the smartphone app!
