• It sure does, trailblazer15! At the beginning of each cycle, Samsung washers go through a weight sensing cycle to determine how much water and time is needed for the current load. ^Jecca

• From the user manual: Cycle overview NOTE The washer detects the weight of the items and automatically adjusts the optimal water level, washing time, rinse counts, and spin counts. (This may not be applicable on some cycles.) Hopper that helps!
