Go into Menu settings and adjust the display size to zoom 1 (zoom 2 may be too much zoom and you'll lose info off the screen). The aspect ratio defaults at 16:9 and a 4:3 picture will have black bars, so just adjust it properly or live with the bars
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When you watch TV using a high definition connection like HDMI/component cables. The TV is looking for high definition signal. When you have your TV set to normal zoom it will by default go full screen when a high definition picture is watch and back to wide screen(black bars top and bottom) when it see a regular digital picture. The only way to change this is to zoom in but when you do this you lose some of the picture. It will be outside the screen. The 2ND way is to use regular RCA cable or RF cable. These types of cable allow regular digital signal and your TV will only be looking for regular digital and give you a full screen. The other way is to watch high definition channel. To do this you can have your cable box auto tune to high definition channels when it's available. I know Comcast X1 box do it, so it's nothing wrong with your TV it's just the video signal you watching. This the same for cable and dvd.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Send it back to the store for replacement ASAP and claim for warranty. Black lines are indication of dead pixels. This is bad. I had the same issue on my first Samsung 75 inch TV for my media room. The store tried to offer to have it replaced. I declined and insisted on total replacement. So far the replacement is holding fine 2 years now.
