I suggest checking the reviews at rtings.com. The KS8000 is edge lit, and some people can't tolerate the issues that raises. The Vizio M series uses a full array of LEDs. (That also means that the Vizio isn't as stylishly thin as the Samsung, if you care.) The KS8000 has a much higher peak brightness, useful mainly for HDR sources. The SUHD Samsungs are premium certified by the UHD alliance. Vizio doesn't participate in that, but the M's specs don't meet the requirements. Only you can decide whether the KS800 is worth the extra money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I looked at both in the store and decided this TV had the best picture quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I prefer this tv because the M series is not a tv it does not have a tuner so it can not be classified as a tv . The Samsung 8000 series is as close as your going to get as far as4k UHD with HDR in this price range EXECELLENT!!!!!!!
