I'm sure a cable box using HDMI could connect to this monitor. Depending on your provider you may even be able to stream it to this monitor as you are correct, this is a 2 in 1 monitor acting as a smart TV and amazing gaming monitor.

The OLED G9 does offer built in TV apps for you to be able to stream some of the most popular apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Spectrum Tv, and much more. If you would prefer to connect a cable box, you can do so as well. This monitor does come with speakers and a remote to make that easier. Keep in mind, the normal aspect ratio of cable is only 16:9 so it will not fill the entire screen of this monitor which is 32:9.
